Translation and localization
Contracts and legal documents are my natural field of expertise, owing to my academic and professional background in Law. Over the years, I have also specialized myself and worked in various other areas such as literature, game localization, academic papers, marketing, and medical.
Attention to detail, a sharp research technique to find the most natural translation solutions, and strict adherence to deadlines are the main qualities of the services I provide. I own a memoQ license and am familiar with Trados Studio, WordFast, MateCat, Phrase, Smartcat, XTM, and Crowdin.
Subtitling and QC
Combining observance of style guides with good judgment to capture nuances in the audiovisual content, I’m at ease when performing subtitle translation, QC, revision, SDH, and complex conforms in various languages.
While I mainly work with Subtitle Edit and Ooona Tools, I’m also experienced with EZ Titles, Aegisub, and Subtitle Worskhop, as well as platforms such as ZooCore and pHelix.
Proofreading and copy editing
The trained eye that brings about naturalness and refinement to translations also leads to attentiveness and critical thinking to proofreading and copy editing tasks, performed either directly in Brazilian Portuguese or side by side with source and target languages.
